Special Teams

Special teams is one of the areas of the game that is far too neglected and great special teams can be the difference between winning and losing.  A good team can become a great team with great special teams.

We try to keep our opponents off-balance by doing unique things in our special teams game.  Most teams do something like that; it's the origin of the PAT/FG play where most of the team initially lines up to one side then shifts back to the middle after a certain delay.  The purpose of that action is to force the other team to spend time preparing for it.  We do the same thing in other aspects of our kicking game and I'll post some articles on the specifics here soon.
